Despite the recent cancellation of the Netflix series, the cast of One Day at a Time is feeling hopeful and optimistic. During the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, ODAAT star Isabella Gomez and two of the show’s executive producers revealed they’re looking to find a new home for their series after its cancellation in March. Last month the streaming service released a statement where they announced the Latino-led comedy starring legendary Rita Moreno and Justina Machado would not be having a fourth season.

However, ahead of its cancellation, executive producer Gloria Calderon Kellet foreshadowed the future with a Feb. 20 tweet that read: "Met with @Netflix about @OneDayAtATime S4. They made clear that they love the show, love how it serves underrepresented audiences, love its heart & humor, but...we need more viewers. They'll decide soon. I wish I felt more confident WHAT CAN YOU DO? Tell friends to watch," she added.

Following her tweet, many viewers and even A-list celebs including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Busy Philipps rallied and spoke out about renewing the show with the Save One Day at a Time campaign. But unfortunately, after making the "difficult decision," Netflix broke the news to fans with a statement that read: “This was a very difficult decision and we’re thankful to all the fans who’ve supported the series, our partners at Sony, and all the critics who embraced it. While it’s disappointing that more viewers didn’t discover One Day at a Time, I believe the series will stand the test of time.”

When asked about finding a new home for the series, Gloria told ET Online, "Shows are canceled every day and nobody cares, so we're aware of that and we're so grateful to our community.” Co-executive producer, Brent Miller added, “We’re feeling optimistic. "I mean, how could we not with the kind of attention the population has given us? There's a rabid fan base out there and they want to see the Alvarez family continue. So, I think the networks will see that and I think, in time, we'll all know."
