Yalitza Aparicio is a star on the rise! The Mexican beauty has made a name for herself, after her breakout role in the Netflix film Roma. Since the film’s premiere, all eyes have been on the actress, whose inspiring story is one for the history books.

Since the release of the film, the 25-year-old has made the transition from educator to Hollywood starlet look flawless. Yalitza is living her best life, and living in the moment from award shows, red carpets, and even the cover of Vouge – all with the mission to inspire.

 “For me, it’s very important,” she told HOLA! USA, about opening doors for future Latina stars. “I know that I am a gate opener and it’s wonderful to inspire so many women to keep trying.”

Yalitza stood next to Alfonso Cuarón, and Marina de Tavira, as they proudly held up their trophies after winning, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Director during the Golden Globes.

Dance the night away

The 25-year-old hit the dance floor at the Netflix Golden Globes after party. It was a big night for the star, who stunned in Miu Miu, after Roma took home two awards during that evening’s ceremony.

A fresh new face

Yalitza proudly accepted the New Hollywood award during the Hollywood Film Awards. The actress, who was set to begin her career as a teacher, opened up about landing the role.

“I was happy, but nervous because I had no idea whether I’d be able to achieve what I’d been asked to do by Alfonso,” she told the Guardian.

Dress to impress

It’s hard to believe that this is one of Yalitza’s first appearances on the red carpet. The Mexico-native was a pro as she worked the carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Since this appearance, the young star as stunned in Prada, Miu Miu and more big designers for various appearances.

Double celebration

Yalitza had a lot to celebrate during the premiere of Romain Hollywood. In honor of her birthday, which was the following day, the star was presented with a cake by her co-stars.

"It has been an incredible celebration," she wrote next to the photo on Instagram. "I had so much fun with some wonderful beings, who have taught me that it is worth dreaming and making those dreams come true."

A late night for a star

Yalitza made her first appearance on a late-night talk show with co-star Marina de Tavira, in December. Ahead of her busy award season, the actress made her late night television debut  on Jimmy Kimmel Live– and looked amazing doing it.
