Serena Williams could have royal bestie Meghan Markle in the Wimbledon stands 'if I keep winning'

Serena Williams is back at Wimbledon for the first time since giving birth to herdaughter Alexis Olympia in September and the former world champion has some starsupporters in her corner. One is Meghan Markle, who considers the athlete to beher ‘closest friend’. During a pressconference on Monday, July 2, after defeating Dutch tennis player Arantxa Rus, Serenafielded questions about her royal bestie. When it came down to it, the36-year-old tennis pro had a pretty simple answer as to whether or not theDuchess of Sussex would be hitting the stands to cheer her on.

“Idon't know, we'll see. If I keep winning,” Serena said, laughing. HELLO! has confirmedthat Prince Harry’s wife willindeed be making her highly-anticipated debut at Wimbledon for the first time asa Duchess. The former actress, who has attended a handful of timesbefore, most notably went to Wimbledon in the summer of 2016 when she wassecretly dating the royal redhead.

Serenaspent the weekend before the big tennis tournament with her friend, fullyengrossed in the world of another sport: polo. The pair ventured to Ascot onSaturday, June 30 to root for Prince Harry and Prince William as they competed in the Audi Polo Challenge. Meghan wore a prettySoshanna shirt dress for the occasion, looking chic in the white gingham print.She accompanied the look with a white Panama hat and a pair of Sarah FlintGrear sandals.

Serenawas also joined by her husband, Alexis Ohanian at the outdoor polo event. Alexis has, of course, been in the stands supporting his wife as she takes on Wimbledon again. On her triumphantreturn, Serena said: "It felt good to play and just to be back on thegrass. It definitely felt good."
