Donald Trump is “winning” these days. The American businessmantrumped his GOP opponents in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday evening, receiving35.3 percent of the votes. Joining the hopeful presidential candidate onstagewas his wife of over 10 years, Melania Trump.
The former Slovenian modellooked every inch the part of a First Lady. Donning a black sheath dress and wearing her signature brown locks down, the 45-year-old beamedwith pride as her husband delivered his victory speech.

“What she puts up with,” Donald jokedabout his wife. “[Melania] said right from thebeginning, ‘You know if you run, you know you're going to win’ and she saidthat from day one, so Melania, thank you, honey.”
Back in 2011, when Donald considered running for the WhiteHouse, Melania told HELLO!, “He’svery passionate about the country and seeing where it is going and how it isdoing. I would always support him whatever he decided to do. But it was neverin my mind about being First Lady, because we were not there yet.”

At the time, the first lady of the Trump household added, “I know thiscountry needs somebody – a brilliant businessman who understands what needs tobe done. And he is amazing, one of a kind. People don’t really know what hedoes and how he succeeded. Some people like to talk negatively, but they don’treally know what kind of empire he built. They would prefer to joke about hishair than about what he achieved.”
As his 2016 campaign gets traction, the golden couple, who share 9-year-old son Barron Trumptogether, were surrounded in New Hampshire by the 69-year-old’s eldest children from his first marriage to Ivana Trump. Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. along with theirrespective spouses — Jared Kushner, Lara Yunaska and Vanessa Trump — were outin full force to support the patriarch of the Trump family.
When Donald toyed with the idea of running in the 2012 election, butpulled back to continue his NBC shows, The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice,he revealed to HELLO!, “A lot of people [were unhappy].I was leading in the polls. And I hadnever said I was running; I said I was considering it. But I had to make a determination. AndI can always get back in. We’ll see what happens."

As to whether jokes and criticism about Donald hurt her feelings, Melania told HELLO!, “Totally. Because you just see how people are… and how low they could get. Because they are maybe jealous, or they don’t want to acknowledge his credibility and everything he built.”

When asked in 2011 if a run for the White House was off the table, he told HELLO!, "No, it’s not. I was leading in the polls, but ultimately it’s hard to give up a top-rated television show [The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice]. And NBC had to have a decision… and ultimately I said, ‘I will do this, but if I’m unhappy with the Republican Party nominee, or if I’m unhappy with the economy, I will view running as an independent."
