Get ready to welcome a brand-new player in the beauty industry! With a solid scientific approach, toty is the brainchild of none other than the visionary entrepreneur and actress Sofía Vergara. If you’re looking for a complete suncare solution that protects your skin from photoaging while preserving your natural beauty, look no further than toty.
In partnership with Cantabria Labs, a leading manufacturer of dermatological products in Spain, toty brings cutting-edge scientific innovation to the table along with a comprehensive suncare range that promises protection, correction, and perfection.
But that’s not all - Vergara’s makeup brand prides itself on being a vegan, cruelty-free brand that puts suncare first. The collection features a range of daily essentials, including the Ilumina CC Cream SPF 50+ Perfecting Fluid (available in 15 shades), the Ilumina CC Creamy Compact + Refill SPF 50+ (also available in 15 shades), the Solaria Mineral Antioxidant Sunscreen Serum SPF 50+, and the Solaria Infusion Antioxidant Booster.
The brand’s mission is simple - to inspire confidence in your beauty and help you feel more gorgeous inside and out. And with Sofía Vergara at the helm, you know you’re in good hands.
During an intimate Zoom meeting, Vergara shared more details about toty, revealing to HOLA! USA the formula of her products was already tested and approved many years ago. However, Cantabria Labs modified it to fit her requests.
“I have been using it for more than 15 years. So we did have to work to adapt it a little bit to the FDA requirements for the United States because they are different than in Europe,” Vergara told our publication during a virtual call. “We tweaked some things here and there, but the formula it’s been already tested and proven. It’s something that has been in the market for quite some time.”
Does toty have a specific target?
According to Vergara, her brand has all makeup and skincare lovers in mind. “I’m 51, and I love it. My niece Claudia — she’s 30 years old and she loves it. My mom is 75, and she loves it,” assures the actress and businesswoman. “It’s for everyone. It’s like super safe and it looks good on even men.”
Vergara also said she is planning on expanding her beauty line. “I want to do a lot of things with sun protection because I’m 51, and my face doesn’t match my chest,” she joked. “Why is that? Because I did go crazy taking care of my face, but nobody had the courtesy to tell me to pull it down all the way to the neck.”
According to Vergara, her plan for toty is to launch more items and encourage people to protect themselves from the sun. “The message is that if you start early with the sun protection, you’re going to be fine. You’re going to be better than fine when you’re in your 40s or 50s,” she assures. “I really want to launch body makeup that you can put every day in your chest, and it doesn’t go in your clothes. I want to do something for the lips. The dream is big. We had to start little by little.”
An Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG-nominated actress, Vergara is best known as ‘Gloria Delgado-Pritchett’ in the award-winning comedy MODERN FAMILY. Recently, Vergara has been busy producing and starring in Netflix’s upcoming limited series, GRISELDA.
She’s also returned for her third season as a judge on NBC’s hit summer series, AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, where she joins Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Terry Crews. This show consistently tops weekly ratings and wrapped its 17th season on September 14, 2022.
But Vergara’s talents don’t stop there - she’s also an incredibly successful entrepreneur and global businesswoman with a strong lifestyle brand. Her diverse portfolio of products includes haircare, furniture collections, and fragrance lines, not to mention her size-inclusive apparel line, available exclusively at Walmart.
And let’s not forget about Vergara’s philanthropic side - she’s a long-time supporter of microfinance initiatives and partnered with Kiva to establish the Global COVID-19 Response Fund. To date, the fund has raised over $150M to provide direct and efficient funds to marginalized populations worldwide, including minorities, women, and those in isolated areas impacted by COVID-19.
