The actress is very proud of using natural ingredients on her hair, and has a pretty simple secret to keep it in its best shape: coconut oil. Coconut oil masks

“I only wash my hair twice a week, and once a month I do a coconut oil mask. I let my hair sit in coconut oil overnight and then wash it out in the morning,” Eva told Glamour, adding that she thanks this ritual for her glossy locks.

EGGS

There are other natural ingredients that will work wonders on your hair aside from coconut oil. Such is the case of a raw egg mask, which you can make by mixing an egg with olive oil and honey.

After applying the mixture to your dry hair, leave it for 30 minutes then wash out with cool water (it’s important not to use warm or hot water – you don’t want to end up with scrambled eggs in your locks!). Next, shampoo your hair as usual.

This mask can be done once a week to give your hair shine, improve texture and help repair damage.

MILK

Milk does a body good – and it’s great for your hair, too! Since milk is rich in vitamin B12, it’s great to put in your system, but also great to put on your hair. A milk treatment will help your locks grow stronger, thicker and more manageable and it is wonderful for dry hair.

To use, mix milk powder or fresh milk into your regular conditioner and spread evenly through your hair. Leave for five minutes and then rinse out with cold water.

ALOE VERA

If you need to minimize frizz then aloe vera is your friend. Extract the gel from a leaf, mix it in water and put the liquid in a spray bottle, shaking it up well. Spray it onto to damp hair after washing for truly hydrated locks.

YOGURT

If, aside from shine, you’re looking to deep clean your scalp and get rid of dandruff then you should try yogurt, which is a great source of vitamins B6 and B12. This mask also seals the hair cuticles and promotes growth. Apply it to damp hair for 30 minutes and then rinse.

AVOCADO

Avocado of course makes our list of natural wonders. It has a high concentration of essential oils, helping to hydrate your hair and leave it smooth and luscious. Add it to olive oil and egg and massage into your hair to help the ingredients penetrate and work their magic. Rinse with cool water.

HONEY

Honey is also a good choice to protect hair from drying out and give your locks nutrition and shine. Combine two spoonfuls of honey in warm water and put the mixture into a spray bottle. Apply to the scalp after washing your hair, massaging your head for five minutes. Leave it to work for another 15 minutes and then rinse with water.

COOL WATER

Another important aspect of hair care is to try and wash your locks in cool, or preferably cold, water. Avoiding hot or too warm water has been proven to leave your hair shiny as it seals the hair cuticles once the hair dries.
