When it comes to inspiring and teaching us the most useful day-to-day tips, there's no one quite like  Rihanna . The Caribbean singer is one of the most important women in the cosmetics industry, not only because of her breathtaking natural beauty, but also because she is the founder of the very successful brand Fenty Beauty, a revolutionary line designed for women who –like her– take the “what you see is what you get” approach.

Once again showcasing her boundless character in front of the camera –this time for Vogue–, the artist did a tutorial in which she created a feminine, fun, and on-trend makeup look using just six products. Want to know her secrets?

Time in front of the mirror

“I can do my makeup in 10 minutes or in 10 hours it feels like, sometimes. It depends on what kind of day you're having,” she tells the camera, and we believe her! After her unforgettable red carpet beauty looks it's not hard to see why she's an icon.

Complete Coverage

The first step of her routine is to apply a generous amount of creamy foundation –she opts for the Fenty Pro Filt´r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation . Her trick for maximum coverage and a flawless finish is to blend it with a makeup sponge (Sephora, $35).

Contouring

Distinguishing the light and shadow of your face is key, and Rihanna knows it. “I have a huge forehead so I like to go in a little deeper down [...]. Very important to go into the hairline too 'cause I hate to see that white line between your forehead and your hair, and up and down the nose. Hide that double chin. You always wanna do a triangle when you're doing a contour under there, give you that whole long neck situation. The Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Mocha is one of her must-haves (Sephora, $25).

Practice makes perfect

“It's important to contour your face for your face, not the way you see on every YouTube tutorial, because everyone has a different shape”, she said with her characteristic humor. This is a valuable lesson to learn because every woman is of course different.

Makeup Law: Blend

Before applying the Match Stick Matte Skinstick concealer, the Diamonds singer warms it up between the palms of her hands. Then she applies it –in one sweeping movement– to her dark circles. For a professional finish she blends it by softly patting it with a small makeup sponge (Sephora, $130).

Matte-effect

For this, loose powder is your best friend as it helps to seal makeup of all textures. RiRi's favorite is the Invisimatte Blotting Powder , also by Fenty Beauty, a light powder that absorbs shine and visibly reduces pores without blocking them (Sephora, $32).

More is more

Rihanna is just as bold as she is glamorous, which is why she always goes for color. Some of the everyday ways she wears color is with bronzer, blush, or lipsticks in eye-catching shades like fuchsia, coral, and colors that scream “sunset, love and drama”.

There\'s no excuse not to radiate light

Changes in temperature, pollution and tiredness all make the skin appear dull. To give it a healthy, golden glow try the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter –in Trophy Wife– (Fenty Beauty, $34).

A multiuse brush is another essential!

There are many types of makeup brushes, the hard part is finding one you can't live without. Rihanna's Cheek-Hugging Highlight Brush #120 , a synthetic angle brush for applying blush and highlighter, giving your look the finishing touches, is just that brush (Sephora, $32).

In a season where neutral tones reign, Rihanna is one of the stars risking colorful makeup looks with her new cosmetics range, and we're absolutely loving it!
