Choose a good quality lash – but that doesn\'t mean expensive!

Cardi B loves full lashes and has at least two eyelash brands she wears. One false eyelash brand the Dominican beauty wears is Lilly Lashes Goddess Eyelashes ($20), cross-linked extensions of mink hair that are reusable for up to 15 times. Cardi loves double extensions and was able to get the look for the Met Gala 2018 with KISS Lash Couture, the Triple Push-Up Collection, inspired by glamour icon Elizabeth Taylor, which has multiple lash styles in one band. The best part? They're just around $6.99 and available everywhere from Walmart to Ulta.com.

Choose the right length

To make sure that your lashes look perfect – like those of Jennifer Lopez – you should clean the eyelids with makeup remover and make sure that they are completely dry before applying. The most popular type of false lashes to use are full-length since they're the easiest to place, but you must measure them first. Be sure the lash fits smoothly from the interior corner of your eye to where your natural lashes begin — and it might be necessary to cut them so they fit your eyelid perfectly.

Para una mejor fijación

After applying glue to full false lashes, to achieve the best curvature, bend them briefly into a U-shape so that they adapt to the natural shape of your eyelids. Wait a few seconds before placing them on the eyelids.

Using a tweezer, place the false lashes on the edge of the eyelid, starting towards the interior part of the eye — trying to look downwards — and press them along the natural contour of your own eyelashes. Leave them to dry for a few minutes to set.

If you're going for a longer-lasting look, like that of Kim Kardashian – who has used the Goddess eyelash by Lilly Lashes ($10) – use the double-adhesive trick, putting some glue all along the line of both your natural lashes and the fake ones.

Mascara for the perfect finish

Falsies will help make your eyes stand out and it's important to have as natural a finish as possible for this to work perfectly. Using eyeliner, draw a line from the start of the lashes along the lash line, so that no imperfections are noticed.

Next, apply mascara so that the natural and false lashes are combined, resulting in a look similar to that of Katy Perry.

Top trick: Use two different eyelash lengths

If you are more interested in giving volume and length to your eyelashes, like those of Lady Gaga, then you should combine two different lengths of lashes for the illusion of greater thickness. Always make sure that they fit your eyes perfectly and also adapt to the type of makeup you will be wearing.

How to remove false eyelashes

It's vital to take good care of your false eyelashes, so that you look as impeccable as Eva Longoria does here! The secret is to use warm water to wash your face and when use Q-tips and oil-free makeup remover to remove them. It's essential to use an oil-free makeup remover – if any oil adheres to the false lashes, they will not stick correctly the next time they are used.

Gently take the lashes off from one edge of the eyelid and then use a cotton ball soaked in makeup remover to take off any last traces of product from around the eyes.
