As we head into the warmer season, chances are we’ll face new hair woes and challenges with our curly and natural hair. Taking care of your curls is no easy task, and luckily for us, we’ve partnered with the hair saint herself, Ona Diaz-Santin Ó, for expert tips. The natural hair mastermind has been empowering women to embrace their natural roots since the beginning of time. Each of her styling tips will have your curls flourishing and flowing in no time.

If you’re looking for what I call 'springy curls,' moist heat therapy is for you. After deep cleansing, use rosehip oil on scalp and hair. Then wet a towel, rinse it out, and place it in the microwave for one minute. Wrap a towel around your head and leave it on for 5 minutes, rinse it out and style as you wish.

Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo

We tend to use richer and heavier products in the cooler months, so I recommend using a clarifying shampoo to remove natural build up and product residue now that we’re getting into Spring!
