HELLO!:You run a business, have young kids and still look incredible! How do youbalance being a mom, working and staying fit?

JillianMichaels: Having little ones running aroundcertainly makes having a full time job and staying fit more challenging. It’sgood to have several strategies to employ in order to get your workout in. Youcan be physical with your kids. Do things like swimming, playing tag, kicking the ball around the yard, pillow fights, etc. These things workup a sweat…trust me.

H!:Do you need help to maintain this?

JM:Trade off with your significant other if you have one. One night you gofor a workout while the partner watches the kids and the next night youreciprocate and they go work out. Ask a family member to babysit once aweek so you can get a workout in. Do workout DVDs at home so you canexercise for 30 minutes while the kids play. Bottom line: it’s not easy, but if you can get at least four solid 30-minute workouts in a week, whilesimultaneously watching what you eat, it will make a huge difference.

H!: Isn't your new BODYSHRED program all about quick and effective workouts?

JM: It's is a fast and fun group exercise class offered all over the U.S that is comprised of four circuits utilizing what I like to call my “3-2-1” interval format approach: 3 minutes of strength with 2 minutes of cardio and 1 minute of core work for 30 minutes of calorie crushing, fat shedding, muscle toning exercise. It’s about working out smarter, not necessarily harder.

H!: What ifyou're in a rush to get ready for the summer? What are your go to tips?

JM: Bikini body shape means something different to everyone, but I can guarantee that you at least want to feel good about your physique before you reveal a lot of skin. The first step to success is to establish the reasons why you want to change your body. Whatever the reason, use it as motivation to maintain your healthy routine – you’ll find it will really motivate you!
