Queen Rania of Jordan and her daughter-in-law Princess Rajwa made a fashionable pair at the opening of the first ordinary session of the 20th Parliament in Amman. Her Majesty looked resplendent in a red skirt and matching blouse on Nov. 18, while Rajwa stepped out in a black trouser outfit and sporting a chic ponytail and curtain bangs.
The Queen shared photos from the opening, including a snapshot of herself and Rajwa standing next to each other. One individual on X wrote that the image of the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law "looks like a fashion magazine cover." Prior to Rajwa marrying into the Jordanian royal family, Rania described her then-future daughter-in-law as "the perfect answer to all" her prayers for her son Crown Prince Hussein.
According to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Monday marked Rajwa's first Speech from the Throne, as well as her first official public engagement since the birth of her daughter, Princess Iman. Hussein and Rajwa, who tied the knot in June 2023, welcomed their first child on Aug. 3 at the King Hussein Medical Center.
Following his daughter's arrival, Hussein wrote on Instagram: "Praise be to God for His abundant blessings. We are immensely grateful for the safe birth of our daughter and the health of my beloved wife, Rajwa." He added, "Our heartfelt thanks to our family and the Jordanian people for their kind wishes, which deeply touched us during these special moments."
Over two months after they brought their daughter home, new mom Rajwa was spotted out with her husband at a soccer match at Amman International Stadium. Just last week, Hussein shared a new photo of his baby girl repping Jordan's national soccer team. "Iman right before the match today," he captioned the post on Nov. 14. In Arabic, the Crown Prince also wrote: "A little pre game snuggle."
