Self Portrait y su colección estival más bohemia, una oda a Ibiza

Cada vez es más habitual encontrar diseñadores de moda que desfilan o se inspiran en tierras lejanas a su país de origen. Es el caso de la marca londinense Self Portrait, que presentó su nueva colección el 8 de septiembre en New York Fashion Week. El director creativo detrás de la firma es Han Chong, nacido en Malasia y graduado en Central St. Martins. El diseñador, que ha vestido a celebrities tan variadas como Zendaya, Michelle Obama o las duquesas de Cambridge y Sussex, ha creado una propuesta para Primavera/verano 2019 inspirada en su último viaje a Ibiza incluyendo prendas con el característico ganchillo de la isla. Tonalidades vivas como el amarillo o el rojo aportan el punto de color en contraste con el blanco característico del estilo adlib. Las texturas especiales y la mezcla de estampados, habituales en sus colecciones, aparecen también en esta propuesta en forma de blusas con volantes y prendas asimétricas superpuestas.
