The mastermind of Latin flair, a trend that has uplifted Latin American designs

Silvia Tcherassi is living proof that when there’s talent and creativity, there are no limits. This has been made clear time and time again across the Colombian designer’s three decades of career that have placed her as one of the pioneers of Latin flair. Proudly latina, Silvia puts her country’s name up high with every new collection she releases.

The Colombian is known across the world as the creator of Latin flair, a trend that has uplifted Latin American designs.

She has stores in Spain, Miami, the Dominican Republic and Colombia, where she has six boutiques.

She began her career in fashion in 1987, leaving behind a career of interior design that she studied in the Universidad Autonoma del Caribe, in Barranquilla. Tcherassi then moved to England, where she formed Tcherassi Hotels, a project focused on hospitality and real estate.

This 2023, Tcherassi opened a new store in Capri, Italy. This opening follows in the great success she’s experienced in her stores in Spain, Miami, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia, where she has six boutiques.

Tcherassi’s deisigns have been worn by all manner of celebrities and personalities, being fixtures in Fashion Weeks in Paris and Milan. Last June, Eva Longoria became one of the brand’s ambassadors, wearing Tcherassi’s designs at Cannes Flm Festival, one of the most luxurious events in the entertainment industry.

Tcherassi is also a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, a French honor that recognizes important contributions to the fields of arts and literature.
