Originally from Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, Shaní Lozano dreamed of becoming an actress since she was a child. She started her journey in the Faculty of Theater at the Universidad Veracruzana, where she learned the skills to stand out in the entertainment industry and make her wildest dreams come true.
Her undeniable talent was quickly recognized after starring in the theater adaptations of De Golondrinas y Aves Pardas, La Casa de Bernarda Alba and Once Upon a Time a King.
However, her big break with a role in the small screen after being chosen to star in the Netflix drama series “The Surrogacy,” where she gave life to Yeni, a woman who becomes a surrogate mother after facing multiple struggles. The plot empathized with the public, as well as her portrayal.
The 27-year-old actress is just getting started after taking her first step in front of the cameras. The Mexican star still has very ambitious goals, such as working with Guillermo del Toro. Shaní continues to follow her heart on the path of acting, moving from her native Veracruz to Mexico City, giving a great example to indigenous women to fight for their dreams and persevere until they make them come true.
